Sengkaling, History of Sengakaling and Sengkaling Food Festival

Sengkaling is a recreational park that is managed by PT Taman Bentoel, Bentoel Group subsidiary engaged in tourism services in the form of recreation parks. Sengkaling located in the village Sengkaling, District Dau, Malang. Recreational park is located on the edge of the Brantas River, which is a source of water for the artificial lake located in the recreation park. The main attraction of this recreation park is cycling water in the artificial lake of 2 hectares, variety of games for children, several collections of animals (lions, peacocks, horses) and a swimming pool. Recreation Park Sengkaling, first established by a Dutch nationality, namely Mr. Coolman in 1950. However, since 1975 until now, management Sengkaling Recreation Park was taken over by Bentoel Group under the name of PT. Bentoel park. During the initial operation Sengkaling Recreation Park, only for employees Bentoel Group, but as the development, and at the request of citizens who wish to participate to enjoy, finally Sengkaling Recreation Park opened to the public.

 Sengkaling Food Festival (SFF) is a new tourist icon in Malang, which was built in the Recreation Park Sengkaling (TRS). The concept of merging with the Culinary Recreation Park, supported the setting Site Plan, Building Design, Structuring Outlet and Lighting Systems are qualified so as to give the impression of sensational unforgettable. SFF occupies an area of 3 hectares in front of the TRS, the location is strategically located on the highway between Malang - Rock, close to several famous universities, among others; Malang Muhammadiyah University, Islamic University of Malang, UB and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. Powered by SFF parking areas are very spacious, with good parking management system, able to accommodate hundreds of vehicles, which is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for visitors SFF.

As the largest culinary centeer in East java, SFF provide hundreds of tenants serving a variety of quality menu at a price that is afforable for all wables of life from families and students and tourist. Besides the culinary, SFF also provides  tenants who selling food/ beverage typical of malang that can used Souvenir, and  there are boutiques selling designer clothes and quality. SFF is very appropriate as a place to Hang Out, Meeting Point, kongkow, and Gathered with Family, Friends and colleagues. 

 SFF is open daily from 16.00-23:00 pm, except saturdays and sundays. SFF open open from 12.00-23.00 soft opening SFF was held on july 15,2014, the interest of the public/visitors with the opening of SFF very niccce unexcepted from the business, although still in the soft opening. SFF grand opening is planned in the mont of august- 5 september2014 and will be celebrate by a famous artist from the capital.
